BFA in Computer Arts: New Media

1997 - 2002

The massive benefit I gained at the Academy of Art was the fact that I got to get my hands dirty with lots of different kinds of media. I was able to spend time studying things like graphic design, photography, video/animation, web design, typography, and more. This really allowed me to immerse myself in the world of design and, ultimately, led me to the realm of interactivity, which is where I began my career.

MFA in Media Design

2012 - 2013

The Media Design MFA program tasked students with selecting a client that not only interested them, but also could benefit from a re-imagination of their brand. Because music is one of my biggest passions, I selected Little Kids Rock as my client.

Over the course of the next 12 months, I conducted a full brand evaluation and then reimagined the brand as a whole. The final result was a style book and accompanying video, for which I received the Advanced Achievement and Course Director's Award's for excellence, as well as being valedictorian of my class.

Worked on many campaigns who's purpose was to drive traffic to att.com
Instrumental in getting new and improved landing pages off the ground which led to an increase in conversions
Re-imagined the user experience and redesigned the visual hierarchy of high-traffic landing pages
Worked hand-in-hand with the A/B testing team to contribute my visual/UX skill set to projects where the team was rapidly iterating on ideas on att.com

Expedia

Design Lead

2010 - 2012

Responsible for the visual design and development for Expedia's StorePoint Expandable (SPE) product
Worked closely with internal teams as well as clients to determine the best way to convey a lot of information, from image galleries to hotel deals, within an extremely confined space
Managed an external team of production artists as well as relationships with 3rd-party rich media vendors
Designed, documented, and launched a robust global style guide for the Media Solutions team
